POST MATCH

“The way in which the players played today made my job an easy one especially after picking up two injuries in the warm up for the game” said Dunmow Rhodes Manager George Alexander after he was questioned on the his players performed in the game. He further added “Witham have had some decent results this season and have been involved in some close games so to play them twice and win 8-0 twice it is some achievement and sends out a strong statement to the rest of the teams in the competition”.

Speaking to a rather deflated Witham Nomads manager Phil Baker after the game he showed his appreciation for the away side by saying “they are a young side and they move the ball around today. We were chasing shadows for 90 minutes and the score line probably reflects that however we have a lot to work and we will look to bounce back next week”.

Dunmow will now go on to host Onley Arms in the league who sit in the bottom half of the table as the 2 square up for the first time this season. As for Witham they will look to bounce back as they Travel to Tiptree to face the league leaders Tiptree Elite who are still yet to be defeated in the league this season which doesn’t sit pretty for the side who conceded 8 in a very flat performance.
